Dr Paul Rosen

Dr Paul Rosen is a cataract and refractive surgeon specialist and graduated from the University of Melbourne.

Vision Eye Institute Camberwell was established in 1957 by Dr Rosen’s father.  This was the first specialist practice outside Collins Street.  Since that time the practice has steadily expanded.  In 1987 the Day Surgery Centre was attached to the clinic.

As a member of the Day Surgery Sub Committee at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital he was a conjoint author of the Day Surgery Protocol on phaco-emulsification for the Hospital.  He has also played an active role with the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists in the past.

He has been involved with Excimer Laser Surgery since 1991, and was the Director of the Excimer Laser and Research Group at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. 


Dr Rosen is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.  He loves playing golf and tennis and enjoys going to the opera.
