Dr Frank Martin specialises in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Dr Martin was head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for 22 years and is currently a Visiting Medical Officer in Ophthalmology. He is also Visiting Medical Officer to the Sydney Eye, Sydney Children’s, and Mater Misericordiae Hospitals.
Dr Martin is Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics and Ophthalmology at the University of Sydney and holds a number of ophthalmology training and supervisory positions both in Australia and overseas. He is President of the Board of the Children’s Medical Research Institute and President of the Asia Pacific Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr Martin has received several distinguished awards including the Distinguished Service Award from the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (1999) and the Award for Distinguished and Invaluable Contribution towards Ophthalmology in the World – International.
Dr Martin had published over 40 articles, has written several text book chapters, is a reviewer for the British Journal of Ophthalmology and has been actively involved in clinical teaching and lecturing of Medical School Undergraduates from University of Sydney at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for over 30 years.
Dr Martin provides his specialist services at Vision Eye Institute Chatswood, Cremorne and Sydney CBD.
